Description

The Appalachian Trail ascends Baldpate's East and West peaks going north from ME Hwy 26. The hiking is rugged, remote, and moderately difficult to strenuous.<br />

The AT runs 10.3 miles to East B. Hill Road. Shelters along this section include the Baldpate Lean-to and the Frye Notch Lean-to.

Directions

Take US 2 East to Route 26 North into Grafton Notch. The hiker parking area is just below The Eyebrow. The Appalachian Trail departs northbound across Route 26.
